Betty La Fea is a very known tv series in particular countries. It was first introduced in the Philippines with the Spanish telenovela which was dubbed in our language-Tagalog. The USA had made their own version too which is Ugly Betty. The life story of Betty was widely used in several countries. It has many versions already.
The Philippines is embracing the tv series of Mexico like those acted by Thalia like Marimar, Maria Mercedes, Maria La Del Barrio, and Rosalinda. Filipinos are also liking the tv series La Viuda de Blanco, Lazos de Amor, Gata Salvaje, Ruby, Luz Clarita and many more. Now El Cuerpo is currently aired in ABSCBN.
Now, the Philippine version of Betty La Fea is on its way! This coming September, Bea Alonzo will entertain alll the Filipinos around the world with her different look in " I Love Betty La Fea". John Lloyd Cruz as Armando will become Betty's lover together with Ms. Ruffa Gutierrez as the antagonist. Before the revelation of who's gonna be Betty La Fea in the Philippines many had thought of Anne Curtis, Toni Gonzaga, Maja Salvador and even Regine Velasquez to get the role!
A new show in Prime Bida will add to our daily tuning with Kapamilya's nightly tv series. I hope that this project will become as successful one.
