Barangay and SK Election 2010

Today marks the official start of the campaign period for Barangay and SK Election 2010.I wasn't sure of who's going to run in our barangay. Now I see campaign posters anywhere and I was surprised to see some of them! I didn't know that they're into politics.I want to see their handbills, read their platform and know their aim for the barangay.

Different issues were brought about the said election.I thought the election will be reset.I'm satisfied when I heard that on October 25, 2010 there's going to be Barangay and SK Election. Postponing the election will give more chances for fake public servants to abuse their power. People who want change would be unhappy if extension will be given to unworthy leaders.

From October 1-13 aspiring candidates filed their Certificate of Candidacy or COC.Last August 13, I went to COMELEC to check my name and precinct number. Moreover, gun ban rules were released to ensure the safety of October 25 election.

I'm expecting election rallies on the coming days. I know there are certain individuals who are willing to help improve our barangay and I recognize those who run for money and power.I'm aware of how the politics works in my country.

Big Night at the Big Dome of PBB Teen Edition Plus

The moment had come. The final judgment was made. The Filipino people had made their choice on who's gonna be the next PBB ( Pinoy Big Brother) Teen Edition Plus Ultimate House mate. Few minutes ago the decision had made the countrymen happy and satisfied with the result. The final or awarding of the said reality Tv show was held at Araneta Coliseum. The concept of this year's season was galactic. A production number was given to the viewers. It was composed of Kim and the 3 1st runner ups of the previous competition namely; Gerald,John Prats and Mickey. As we could remember Kim Chiu was the first Big Winner for Teen Edition. Her and the rest of the "My Girl"casts were there too. In addition, Kim is now a leading lady in a teleserye. As of now, she's enjoying the offers that she received. She's also a product endorser of today. Who would think that a normal person in a society would turn out to be a star!
Below is the list of Big 4 and their text votes percentage:
  1. Ejay Falcon - 36.31% PBB Teen Edition Plus Big Winner
  2. Robi Domingo- 34.39% PBB Teen Edition Plus 2nd Placer
  3. Nicole- 18.39% PBB Teen Edition Plus 3rd Placer
  4. Beaty- 10.91% PBB Teen Edition Plus 4th Placer
The Big Winner Ejay is from Oriental Mindoro His father Mang Erning had also won as the Guardian's Big Winner. Teen edition plus of PBB had included an exclusive stay of house mates' parents. They also have their tasks and eviction and Ejay's dad won the race. Good for both of them. Robi is an Atenista coming from Quezon City. Nicole Uysuiseng from Cebu is a kind of lady who finally got out of her shell! The last but not the least is Beauty Gonzales who's from Dumaguete City is a rich kid who had made some changes in herself. Ejay Falcon can now be in lined with PBB's previous Big Winner like Nene, Ruben, Beatriz, Kim and Keanna. Opportunities awaits him. Ejay deserves to win. He's about to start a new way of life. Good luck to him and everybody's hoping that he'll remains the same as how people see him while inside Big Brother's house. Or else, he can loose whatever he has right now. The fans and the showbiz administration put him to the pedestal. I don't want him to undergo the same situation as what happened to Hero Angeles.

Deaf Beaty in PBB House

The official 13 housemates entered Big Brother's house on Easter Sunday March 23, 2008 . And among them, I noticed someone. She got my attention when her title to PBB is a deaf beauty from Mindanao! She's from Davao, from my city! Meaning she can't hear. And everybody's been thinking how she and big brother can communicate. We know that big brother give task using his voice only. Nobody can see and touch him. Her name is Priscilla Navidad, the deaf dreamer of Davao. She's got the courage to go for an audition to join Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus. Her spirit encourages handicapped people that they can be part of this reality TV competition. She is an intelligent one because she can understand with "lip reading" only. She can read your lips and able to respond right. Perhaps she can partly hear people around her because it's not inborn. She lost her hearing 6 six years ago. Yesterday there were additional two teen housemates and were given special task. Priscilla has also given the chance to see Big Brother's lips for easy communication. This is done by "Kuya" ( Big Brother in English) to consider Priscilla's condition. She's the first housemate to see a part of Kuya's. Despite of her condition, this seventeen year old lady manages to live a normal life. Good luck to her. Hope she can last and make it to the Big Four.

SK Youth Congress

I already attended SK ( Sangguniang Kabataan) Wide Congress for how many times. The First one was on October 22-23, 2004 held at Eden Nature's Park here in my city. Davao City is a perfect place if you want to be closer to the nature. The theme was " Stengthening the SK Vitality".
Here we are
Rose,Grace,Vincent,Me and Dianna We had fun at the wide green grass while taking our break Pose with the natives in the city (natives were only stones)
Sangguniang Kabataan or commonly known as SK Youth Council is the youth legislature in every local village or community. It's compose of a SK Chaiperson as the chief executive and SK Councilors as the legislative council. I was ones an honorable SK councilor in our place. The seven of us approve resolutions and appropriate the budget alloted together with our SK Chairman. The Sanggunian has 10% revenue of the annual IRA ( Internal Revenue Allotment) of the barangay.
Being in this political organization allowed me to mingle to different fellow officials from other places specially in our political districts. Davao City is composed of 182 barangays and in three Districts. So that would mean numbers of youth officials. I'm thankful that I was given in this kind of opportunity because it really helped me to grow as a person. I was trained to face and talk to strangers. Furthemore, it lifted my spirit and self confidence.

Pinoy Big Brother Big Winner-Teen Edition

Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu or commonly known as Kim Chiu was one of the 13 housemates who entered the Pinoy Big Brother house last April 23, 2006. She was the big winner for having the most number of text votes here and abroad. What made people choose Kim is her cuteness, sportmanship and talents. This Filipino-Chinese teen got talents that entertained her supporters. She is semi-contortionist and knows hot to play the guitar. Kim Chiu is now a young now an actress in the country. Together with his love team and co-housemate Gerald Anderson, he was able to do a teleserye and movie. She's currently appearing on ABSCBN's shows. From the very beginning of their stay at the PBB house I watched them all and Filipino people had made the right decision to choose Kim as the Big Winner. Their votes made her way to showbusiness and stardom. In few day, PBB house will be opened again for the Big Brother Teen Edition Plus.I am sharing Kim's life to encourage the youths of today not to stop dreaming and work for it. Why not try to accept challenges? It was a big challenge for Kim to continue her way to the Big Brother house because as fas as I could remember she only had her older sister who accompanied her on the day to enter PBB house unlike the other teens that they had with them their entire family. " They don't believe in me...that I can make it, that I have talents to show and prove. But see? I have more than what I asked for!", Kim said. Get to know the remaining teen housemates. My Teenage Years

Entering a new level in education really needs proper adjustments. As to myself, I have done several changes in order for me to adapt and suit myself to the place I’m about to spend or deal with.

High school life for me is the most satisfying moment in my teenage years. This was the moment when I found true, trusted and guaranteed friends to be there for you. In addition, I learned the true meaning of friendship; of companionship. Although at times hurting someone’s feelings could loosen the ties of endless friendship.I believe the virtue of friendship isn’t finding the perfect one, but by trusting them completely, for true friendship doesn’t have an end…
When I was in my secondary level of schooling, I felt the mysterious and unusual feeling to my opposite sex. My first love was bestowed to someone who’s very precious to me. He made me happy every time I’m with him. He’s cool, friendly, cute and very generous to me. But sad to say he’s in love with another woman who was once became my close friend.
In my spiritual being, this was the moment when I understand the very purpose of human beings in this world. I increased my faith and got baptized in Christ’s name. Moreover, accepting the responsibility in which God had given me arises also. By then, it was inculcated my mind and in my soul that I had made a covenant with Him that was meant to happen that needs action and passion.
Consequently, unforgettable moments had happened in this stage. Positively, the grace and mercy I had received from Him. On the other hand, the strongest, the toughest and the ever-challenging test I ever had occurred during these years.
