My 2010 Birthday!

It usually drizzles on my birthday and I prayed for the sun to show up last month on the 21st of December.I felt so happy when the sun was shining so bright when I got up! The first group of people who greeted me is my family!

I didn't have a party at home.I celebrated it at Paradise Island Beach Resort, Island Garden City of Samal

I thank God for me giving another year. I didn't get the same number of gifts I had last year but the celebration is far better. It's the good feeling that matters as you celebrate your natal day.It was great to see my sister again and her family.

To my family and to all who keep on praying for me, thank you for sharing your life with me.

I laughed..I sang..I danced..I swam..I drank..I ate..I played..I did aqua sports..I celebrated my birthday with my ohana...my family.

It was indeed a great day. A fun day for my family and I. Great thanks to all of them.

Thank Heavens

My sister and I spent a couple of days at Davao Doctors Hospital and I'm thankful that her laboratory result is negative. The doctor informed us that nothing is wrong with her kidney. We suspected something is wrong with her kidney because she had a hard time in going to the comfort room.

I was worried too because I see and feel how bad she felt thinking about having an illness and leaving her family. Her daughters are still young.

I thank the Lord for the positive news we had and that we didn't have to stay longer at the hospital. She has to continue her medication though.

Bliss (^_*)

I'm too busy this month to update my blog.I might activate mobile publishing so I can continue writing.Bliss is the word I can define for my December this year! God gave my family and I many reasons to thank the Lord for all the blessings we enjoy.

I feel so great when this photo was taken
Family reunion is the best thing I expect at the end of the year.Thank heavens I  have family who loves one another.I would like to thank my relatives as well who are always with us in making it possible.Although they're out in the country they still make us feel as one.I expect greater things as we welcome 2011!Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year!

I'll be writing the things I did  and those that happened to me as soon as I can.Swear!

Happy Thought

It's been a while that I haven't posted something about myself.I enjoyed making posts about what's happening around me and I kept updating my readers about Survivor Philippines. Now I feel writing about Ladyinpurple.

I didn't feel good these past few days. I would suddenly find myself staring at nothing then I would feel something unpleasant.I wasn't sure of what I want to do next.I don't know if plan A is better than plan B.At times I feel hopeless and useless.

However, I see light again with the help of those people I talked to.I'm thankful to have them around.I'm lucky to have met them. They're right. Why would I worry much if there's nothing to worry about? Most of them said you don't have a problem. You just give yourself a thing to think about with no solutions so stop thinking about those stupid ideas.

So I choose to be happy, to stay pretty and make use of my brain to enjoy life than to push myself down,to get ugly of thinking too much and to refuse to believe that I'm good enough.

I love you guys!

Sophia Marie's Birthday

My niece Sophia Marie celebrated her first birthday two days ago. Her mom baked a cake for her. Thank heavens that she had lived this far without being sick. Perhaps she had colds and cough but it's not that worst. See the pictures below? That's her dad's family tradition! When a baby turned one, he/she's allowed to touch and eat the cake all by herself. Her older sister Lexie had done the same when she turned one last year. We witnessed how Lexi enjoyed the cake so much!jajajajajajajaja. We had two cakes then. One for the visitors and one for the celebrant!A baby would like to touch a smooth, colorful and sweet creation for her! Ate Jackie sent us the pictures below.
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY!!
I like this one.How lovely!
Is it slimy??jejeje
Hmmm how does it feel Sophie?Satisfied?

Carpie Diem

I read a 5-page story that talks on having the courage to pursue the things that you want. To get what your heart desire. I learned that you've got to do what your heart tells you even if you're trembling with fear. Like for instance, winning a woman's heart or getting the sports or jobs you love. I myself, I've been always afraid. Afraid to take risk and get the challenge. I have to believe in myself more to show the best in me. The story implies on putting your heart without expecting good returns of it. The result is not always what we expect to have. What matter is the feeling of satisfaction that relieves us. Even if you didn't get it at least you've tried and given your best. The good thing is "no regrets". It's fine if the girls dump you or say no to you. As long as you had showed her who you are and express your love for her, you'll have a price for that. The writer added added that its essential to look on what we can give like offering and giving love for other people than always counting on what we can get for ourselves. The title of the story is " Carpe Diem" which means "Seize the Day". He included other people's lives and thinking on taking the day no matter what the situation is. Take the day, decide, have faith, do something about it and feel good (^_^).

Paradise Beach Park and Resort

The entire family went back to Samal Island. This was our last beach outing. My tita will leave for Germany this Sunday so that also served as her "despidida". This time we were in Paradise. I've been here many times already. Since I was in elementary we were going in here to bathe at the beach under the heat of the summer sunshine.
Tita helen on the 3rd spot from L-R
To reach the island you have to ride this motor bancas which will take you to Samal Island or IGACOS.
You can do a lot of things in Paradise Beach Park and Resort. It has a Nature Park where you can take a tour. You can see animals in there like turtles and different kinds of birds. They offer trekking and massage. There's volleyball and basketball court. You can also play table tennis, pool and do some water sports like scuba diving and jet skiing. You can rent aqua bikes and the likes.

Accommodation is not a problem. There's non and air conditioned rooms. Hot water in specific rooms. Moreover, they prepare delicious and fresh food for their visitors. Cleanliness is maintained. When you're in the water you'll have no worries because it's crystal clear and the administration is really making sure that it is always sanitized. When in comes in security, you're travel from the land of Davao City to Samal Island is monitored. In your way going to Paradise, a report is given on how many people are coming ;who are the passengers in the motor bancas and they will check if all those people are able to cross the see safely.

Flowers

When I had the chance to talk with my sister she told me about the flowers that she sees. I realized that it's been a long time that I wasn't not able to see colorful flowers around me! Right now I wanna be in a flower garden filled with different kinds of flowers! I asked her if there are also purple ones.....jajajajajajajajaja. I wanna lay in a green grass with lots of colorful petals just like what I see in cartoons.....am I childish?jajajajajajaja. She sent me these pictures:
she's my niece Lexi (planning to pick one?)

Silent Moment

We have a lot of moments in life when we are very loud, cheering and doing some merriment. There are days of celebration and fun.We also have busy days with hectic schedules ahead of us. Our life is as as busy as the city streets. Give a break to your never ending struggles! It's time to breathe.Give time to yourself. A perfect time to refresh yourself. A time to reflect on what we are doing, on what we are after and for what are these things. Personally speaking, I have " ME time". In other words, a time for myself and not with other things or other people. I spend some moments to think on what I really want to do. Of what's my current situation. I am asking myself if I deserve to have these things in me. I often think on the things that I have to change for the improvement of myself and self direction. This is what I got in mind when I saw this picture. This is a photo of my niece Lexi sitting at the widow looking outside. I'm not sure if this was sunrise or sunset. My sister Aloha took this. I like the way it is. Mom was saying that Lexi was missing us specially her and that she was thinking on going back in here!jajajajajajajajajaja. That was a joke of course. Lexi looks "emotera" in that pic of her.

Another Achievement

Producing another graduate in the family is another achievement for everybody. I'm happy and proud that my sister Aloha finished her degree. Last year she had just taken the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and she did make it! I'm so proud of her. I know that she did a good job all the way with her studies. Aloha don't want to disappoint us especially mom. I'm thankful for giving us another blessing. And now we have to pursue our education. We are planning to take masters degree and at the same time practice our profession. I'm pretty excited and quite nervous to think about it! Before I was asking myself why I enrolled myself in this field but now I'm loving it. I learned its relevance and I believe in my capabilities that I can be a good mentor to my future learners. And of course I can do that with the help of other and experienced teachers to guide me as I enter a new challenge in my life.
Here are Aloha's graduation pictures.

What we did today??

Today we still have rain all day. I like the cold and the feeling when it rains. In times like this I guess each one of us inside this house has the chance to stay together at the living room. In the morning I watched a cartoon movie with all of them. Since we have a kid, we should give way to what kind of movie she wants. It’s the one from Walt Disney Pictures. It’s a story of a heffalump with Pooh and friends. Denise has a lot of DVD’s; from stories of princesses to Lion King and the likes. She was three when she had those DVD’s with her. Her mom and dad are really buying those for her. In the afternoon they played with Bob’s xbox while I’m in front of this computer updating my blogs. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to update all my blogs because our PC went wrong. I was very annoyed because I can’t continue what I was doing with the internet. I need to call somebody to fix this or else I’ll get head ache every time it happens again. After having our dinner we saw a TV show. A show that entertained us all. It’s like a survivor type of reality TV show but here the contingents are kids. It’s a great activity for the kids because they have task that test their physical fitness, alertness, smartness and social interaction. While they are in that isolated area or town, they were taught to have the sense of responsibility. They don’t have their mom or dad or siblings with them. So they really have to get along well with their peers and must show cooperation. The most important thing I got from that show is having the chance to lead. The role to handle other kids. Moreover, they’re practicing their own self to make a rightful and just decision for the common good. Furthermore, the spirit of teamwork is in their hearts. That’s one good aspect to have a strong nation in the future. The competition is not just merely offering money for the winners but more importantly caters an unusual experience and adventures for the kids that they can’t forget for the rest of their lives. I guess the show was “ Kid’s Nation”. My brother was watching also and at the back of my mind, he’s should be one of them to train himself. Teach him that mom is not forever with him. That he should be independent because in the first place he’s a guy and soon will raise his own family.

Gwafa_coop@commarts.edu

---Us (gwafa_coop)---
During my college years I met a lot of gals and guys. I joined different school clubs and organization. Our intramurals is one of the best times. A week of celebration, fun and competition. I also joined sports event like volleyball and girls basketball.jajajajajajajajaja. You don't believe it? Actually that was just an accident. I got close to one of my classmates. He’s boyfriend is school’s varsity player and she’s playing basketball too. What happened was she encouraged me to join the team for our major because they’re lacking teammates. It has to be completed and the officers have to submit the line up.I want to help our organization of course so I decided to play.jajajaja LOL. That was so cool. My guy friends can’t believe that I’m in basketball court dribbling the ball!!!! A lot had happened during those times. Betrayal as well as wonderful things completed those years. Without the hardships I can never be this strong. I realized that wounds can be healed..in due time. ..I thought I can never get through with it…yet I did.

My mom was always there to support me. In my studies I never had a problem with my books, with my projects and everything that I needed. I’m proud of having a mother like her (^_^).

I changed my mind

It's great to be here in this blog hosting site. Honestly speaking at first I got really discouraged and I did planned to delete my blog in here and make a new one in other site. However few hours ago I found what I was looking for. Yesterday I had a hard time searching for it. And now that I found it?jajajajajaja. There's no reason for me to leave in here. I have fun in here working with my own site. I just realized that its more cool to be doing things like this rather than giving much time on my networking sites. Networking sites.....? It's indeed a pleasant site to find friends around the world yet I found myself satisfied with it and I wanna do more. I have blog entries in there but its more on addding friends, sending comments, adding applications etc. I wanna be in where I have the great chance on seeing others output. I want to see what kind of thoughts they got that they are writing. I wanna meet friends who do the same thing as what I am doing now. We can relate to each other and I'm really really fond of this kind of stuffs.
