My 2010 Birthday!

It usually drizzles on my birthday and I prayed for the sun to show up last month on the 21st of December.I felt so happy when the sun was shining so bright when I got up! The first group of people who greeted me is my family!

I didn't have a party at home.I celebrated it at Paradise Island Beach Resort, Island Garden City of Samal

I thank God for me giving another year. I didn't get the same number of gifts I had last year but the celebration is far better. It's the good feeling that matters as you celebrate your natal day.It was great to see my sister again and her family.

To my family and to all who keep on praying for me, thank you for sharing your life with me.

I laughed..I sang..I danced..I swam..I drank..I ate..I played..I did aqua sports..I celebrated my birthday with my ohana...my family.

It was indeed a great day. A fun day for my family and I. Great thanks to all of them.

Happy Birthday Sarah

Today my cousin Sarah is celebrating her 12th birthday! She's not here with us but we remember her special day. She was two years old when we first met in the Philippines with her family. She lives in Germany and last July was our second meeting. We met in Manila to attend our cousin's wedding and we were together again in Davao and enjoyed swimming with our relatives.

I had a great time with her. She's funny, very active and "sipat". Sipat is a Filipino word that usually gives a negative meaning which is naughty. But Sarah is not a bad girl."Sipat" can also mean playful and always do things with unusual acts. We mean her that way! She loves to do funny faces and that makes her really funny! She gave everyone a tag since my younger sister initiated for calling her "sipat" in Manila. Sarah thought about this tagging thingy when we arrived home after playing bowling with our cousins.

Ladyinpurple's Silver Year

I always thank the Lord for the life experiences He gave me. I wouldn't turn twenty-five with a happy heart and faith in Him if He hadn't found me. I worked on my birthday. I had to see my students since there was nobody to take my place. I didn't have a party at home but I was really overwhelmed and surprised! It's not because of the gifts. It's how people showed their love and care for me. I've got overflowing birthday messages in any forms! My friends, relatives, family, colleagues and students did remember my special day and I was touched by their love!
Believe me or not but I've got purple stuffs!!!! My students gave me a set of pens,a fan and an accessory. One of them gave me a cake as well! Our employer gave me an ice cream party as what they called it.My younger sister was sorry to give me a green shawl! She tried to look for a purple one but she was unlucky!I was filled with joy too when I opened my older sister's gift for me! In addition, my sisters in Christ gave me a personalized calendar and I super love it! Another year is added to my life.It would mean new experiences and new learning.Life on earth would probably offer me different circumstances that will surely change me to a better one. Celebrating my birthday at home and not at the hospital is already a blessing.I was admitted but I'm fine now.Having good health as I face 2010 is enough for me.However, God showed and gave me more than I asked. THANKS TO ALL WHO MADE ME FEEL SPECIAL ON MY SILVER YEAR!Above all, I'm forever thankful for God's unconditional love for me.

My Mom's 52nd Birthday

Mom's birthday is special to us.We are not here and nothing in this world without her.She is the strength in my family.Though my father is not strong enough she was there in times of great storms.I didn't see her giving up.She makes us feel that everything will fall into place. When she sees us trembling with fear due to shaking problems she heals us and takes away our worries. We're loosing hope but she's hopeful. We see things negatively most of the time but she's always optimistic. Moreover, I notice that she sees things apart from us. She teaches us to stay calm so that we can think on best ways to find a solution.
Today we celebrated her 52nd Birthday. We had some lechon which is Filipinos' favorite viand at parties.Somebody brought an ice cream for the kids.We had much fruits and I offered a cake.My older sis who's now in England called and greeted her.In addition my aunts, friends and the rest of the people who know her send their wishes and prayers for her. My mom is very passionate and she showed us how to persevere. She instilled in us the thought that there's always hope.Whenever we are down, she taught us how to stand up and become firm. She doesn't want to have a party at home. All she wants for her birthday is for us children to be happy and thankful all the time.Another year which is added to her life is a great thing for her to celebrate and thank God. Her teachings will always stay in our hearts forever.

Sophia Marie's Birthday

My niece Sophia Marie celebrated her first birthday two days ago. Her mom baked a cake for her. Thank heavens that she had lived this far without being sick. Perhaps she had colds and cough but it's not that worst. See the pictures below? That's her dad's family tradition! When a baby turned one, he/she's allowed to touch and eat the cake all by herself. Her older sister Lexie had done the same when she turned one last year. We witnessed how Lexi enjoyed the cake so much!jajajajajajajaja. We had two cakes then. One for the visitors and one for the celebrant!A baby would like to touch a smooth, colorful and sweet creation for her! Ate Jackie sent us the pictures below.
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY!!
I like this one.How lovely!
Is it slimy??jejeje
Hmmm how does it feel Sophie?Satisfied?

June Celebrants in the Family

I can't forget the month of June not because it's an ideal month to get wed or the start of classes in Philippine Education System. The main reason is because my 3 nieces celebrates their birthdays on the same month! Cool ya? Denise just turned 6 two days ago. She only had few visitors. We just invited her close friends to have an ice cream and cake in here. It's her first time that she hadn't have a party. Since she's leaving for England, her parents are saving money for her plane tickets. Four days from now, the youngest of baby Hackers, Sophie will celebrate her 1st year! She's a chubby, cute and lovely baby. Her physical features look closer to his dad Justin. She was unwell last week because of the changing weather in England. Their granny is absolutely happy to see them again. Lexi's will be on the 21st. It's been six months that I haven't seen this curly-haired baby. She's turning 2 this month. Aloha said that Lexi loves the movie Happy Feet very much. Everyday they play it for her. There was something that Aloha shared to us that made us all laugh. Lexi was caught throwing her chewable vitamins in trash cans! She's just like me when I was still young!jajajajajajajaja I can still remember how stubborn I was for not taking it. I was throwing it outside through the window!Well now, I'm the only skinny in the family. So is Lexi *sigh
