Love Story

On the first day of February this year at exactly 12:01am I finished reading Erich Segal's Love Story.  It's a story of love that stood the test of time. When I closed the book and get my phone to check the time I realized it's the month for love.Going on a date on the 14th didn't cross my mind though.

Oliver and Jenny's love story started beautifully but ended too soon. I totally enjoyed flipping the pages knowing how their love for each other grows. My emotions switched though when Jenny was diagnosed with leukemia and is dying. I slowly felt the pain the main character is facing.Jenny is truly a strong woman that softens the stone heart of a father and his son. The woman's life plays an important role to the Barretts.

Jenny Cavallerie, a graduate in Radcliffe as magna cum laude serves as the key for the reconciliation of Oliver Barrett IV and his son Oliver Barret III.

When I first saw the title of the book I thought about a happy ending of the couple.Well, I thought wrong so my expectation for Oliver and Jen suddenly dropped. However, it was made clear to me as I continue to read that Jenny's death has bridged the broken father-son relationship.Oliver learned something from Jen which is life-changing for him.Oliver's crying moment in his father's arms outside Mt. Sinai Hospital was the most touching part of the story for me. I cried a bit because I'm having a gap with my father.

Love Story will feed you with sweetness and strength that love can bring as Oli and Jen stay together.Oliver has given up his richness his father could have passed on to him. While Jen has given up her love for music and the chance to be in Europe for him. She waved goodbye to see Paris and forget about her scholarship that comes only once. But the twist comes at the end.

Love means never having to say you're sorry...

10 Signs that your Partner is Leaving

Here's a brief list to know if your boyfriend or girlfriend falls out of love and gets tired of staying with you. A person has plans of leaving the relationship if he/she:
  1. stops calling or texting you regularly
  2. keeps breaking rules
  3. is no longer interested in listening to you
  4. stops kissing and hugging you
  5. spends more time with his buddies
  6. closes topics about relationship
  7. rushes when on the phone
  8. flirts with others in front of you
  9. hangs with friends more often
  10. notices others in the opposite sex

Dear Diary

It's so disappointing when we find out that the person we learned to value and respect for quite a long time would say things against you without knowing the real story. The thing that upsets me is the fact that she's close to me. I consider her like she's my younger sister but the words that came out from her mouth proved that I was wrong. Was considering her a good friend of mine a mistake?

She surprised me with the kind of attitude she's showing now. I said to myself she's one of those people I'm looking forward to seeing in the future when I go back to Davao. Is being honest to yourself and to everybody a sin to her?

This morning, I watched a TV program and this is what I learned after the show:
Love is not a game to play with. It shows respect and understanding.Love grows. It's unselfish.True love releases somebody who is  imprisoned by it. Above all, the truth sets you free.
These things I guess are unclear to the person whom I used to share good things with.It tears me apart thinking about this. I don't want to hate someone who once became my good pal. I thought she understands me but I thought wrong. I just realized how narrow-minded she is.

What is Love?

Love has its own meaning depending on the kind of person who defines it.A four-letter word that requires genuine heart to fully understand it.It varies on how we felt and shared it to others. There's sometimes misconception about the true meaning of love.Faith, hope and love. Love is the greatest because it bequeaths all other good things.Impossible things are made possible and easy if there's love.

My mom first gave me the meaning of love from bible verses when I was young and it was really hard  for a grader to understand it. Now that I gain more life experiences, it made me understand I Corinthians 13:4-8.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Love never fails.....

Carpie Diem

I read a 5-page story that talks on having the courage to pursue the things that you want. To get what your heart desire. I learned that you've got to do what your heart tells you even if you're trembling with fear. Like for instance, winning a woman's heart or getting the sports or jobs you love. I myself, I've been always afraid. Afraid to take risk and get the challenge. I have to believe in myself more to show the best in me. The story implies on putting your heart without expecting good returns of it. The result is not always what we expect to have. What matter is the feeling of satisfaction that relieves us. Even if you didn't get it at least you've tried and given your best. The good thing is "no regrets". It's fine if the girls dump you or say no to you. As long as you had showed her who you are and express your love for her, you'll have a price for that. The writer added added that its essential to look on what we can give like offering and giving love for other people than always counting on what we can get for ourselves. The title of the story is " Carpe Diem" which means "Seize the Day". He included other people's lives and thinking on taking the day no matter what the situation is. Take the day, decide, have faith, do something about it and feel good (^_^).

My Teenage Years

Entering a new level in education really needs proper adjustments. As to myself, I have done several changes in order for me to adapt and suit myself to the place I’m about to spend or deal with.

High school life for me is the most satisfying moment in my teenage years. This was the moment when I found true, trusted and guaranteed friends to be there for you. In addition, I learned the true meaning of friendship; of companionship. Although at times hurting someone’s feelings could loosen the ties of endless friendship.I believe the virtue of friendship isn’t finding the perfect one, but by trusting them completely, for true friendship doesn’t have an end…
When I was in my secondary level of schooling, I felt the mysterious and unusual feeling to my opposite sex. My first love was bestowed to someone who’s very precious to me. He made me happy every time I’m with him. He’s cool, friendly, cute and very generous to me. But sad to say he’s in love with another woman who was once became my close friend.
In my spiritual being, this was the moment when I understand the very purpose of human beings in this world. I increased my faith and got baptized in Christ’s name. Moreover, accepting the responsibility in which God had given me arises also. By then, it was inculcated my mind and in my soul that I had made a covenant with Him that was meant to happen that needs action and passion.
Consequently, unforgettable moments had happened in this stage. Positively, the grace and mercy I had received from Him. On the other hand, the strongest, the toughest and the ever-challenging test I ever had occurred during these years.
