My gushhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the Davao-Samal Bridge is going to be true! I saw a local news this evening and there are investors who are interested to work with us in making it into a reality! The bridge will be called IGACOS Bridge. IGACOS stands for Island Garden City of Samal. Mechanical China Industries and Private Banking are the ones who promised to do the job.
I don't know what's gonna happen to those people earning with their motor bancas and ferries. However, available jobs will also be offered if this project will get started. As I heard the bridge will look like the bridge in San Francisco and that in Hongkong. The project is estimated to cost US$120Million.
Social preparation is needed before they can start the project. Probably there will be affected residences living inside the jurisdiction of the construction of the bridge. Although I'm not ok with this idea, I'm excited to see how Davao will look after the completion and its effect to tourism and business as well.
