Charice Pempengco with Kapamilya Stars in California

After the success of her duet performance with Celine Dion, Charice Pempengco performed with the local stars in the Philippines. The tour One Kapamilya, Go! included Charice as one of performers on the stage of California. For the information of other people, Charice first appeared on TV by the Kapamilya singing contest show which is Little Big Star hosted by the Pop Star Sarah Geronimo. In Ontario California, a TFC Anniversary was celebrated. The Filipino Channel or TFC Subscribers were acknowledge with their support to the Filipino Channel in the USA. News anchor Korina Sanchez did open the ceremony. The event served as a thanksgiving of ABSCBN Network for the support given by all Filipinos in Philippine television. Charice Pempengco was very special on that night. She was indeed noticeable! Along with her are Martin Nieverra, Carol Banawa, Sheryn Regis, Edu Manzano and the loveteam Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. The management are happy because they are aware of Edu's Noontime Game Show and his dance steps like the "Papaya". Almost six thousands (6000) Pinoys were there and celebrated with Filipino celebrities. There were "salu-salo", singing, game show and entertainment of course. The winner of Edu Manzano's Game Ka Na Ba? was a flight attendant from Riverside.

Hi jazzie
Just thinking. How long have stars such as Martin and others been on stage and have they had as much publicity as Charice? I just hope she keeps going because here in the States people who have no idea about Filipino singers now are curious.

Filipino singers used to perform in the states but they don't have much publicity as Charise. She's young and yet had done amazing performances with world-class artists like Boccilli etc.I understand that people are not aware of Filipino performers because usually in foreign countries Filipinos are nothing to them....
